TIPS FOR A SIMPLE YET MEMORABLE 18TH BIRTHDAY (LALO NA SA MGA WALANG BUDGET PANG PARTY)
4:43 AM
I know a lot of teenage girls want their coming-of-age also known as 18th Birthday Debut to be successful and super bongga! I mean it's a once in a lifetime experience and you don't want to miss that. For those girls out there who doesn't have enough budget for throwing a huge party for their 18th then you're in the right blog! Here are some tips that can/may help you while preparing for your birthday.
When 2017 comes, turning 18 is already on my mind. What to do, Where to place my party, Who am I going to invite, What will be the theme, and so much more. But as you can see, I don't belong a to very wealthy family who can give me what I always want and they can't throw me a huge party like what every girls do when it's their 18th birthday. So then I was planning to save up my allowance so that I have money to use for the expenses but then I failed. I'm the kind of girl who spends a lot of money on food, clothing, and I online shopping a lot! Hahaha. Screw me. It was in the middle of August when I decided to really as in REALLY save up money for my birthday and yes, I did it!
Like what you guys read on my recent post, I didn't throw a huge party and as you can see we didn't book a catering service for the food and for the decorations and stuff. Most of the decorations you see on my pictures are DIYs. So let's start!
1. Dream about your debut. Have time alone with yourself and dream what do you want your debut to look like.
(For example; I want mine to be bohemian themed so I started searching on the internet for some ideas for a bohemian themed party. And oh! Bohemian is also the theme for Liza's Debut. Dream about what your party look like and also if you want some 18 roses, candles and treasures then go for it! And if you also want a cotillion dance then start making pairs and choose who will be your cotillion escort.)
2. Come into reality. It's not all about dreaming. Of course after dreaming about your dream debut you must come into reality. Especially if wala ka talagang budget for a bonggang party. But don't worry about that. I have suggestions for you.
(For example; My dream debut is a bohemian themed. After browsing the internet about a bohemian themed party, I started planning what things I'll be using for it and all. Most of my decorations are DIYs. Yep! It's DIY. If you have internet and if only you're very industrious then you'll have what you need. My teepee, giant name letters, my LJ name, the photo hanging on the tree, the bamboo vase and the giveaways are all DIYs. If you want me to show you how to do the giant name letters then I'll try posting on HOW TO MAKE video for it.)
3. Start making the NEEDS for your party. In advance, start planning or doing what you need for your party so that you won't have any problem when it's around the corner.
(For example; I planned everything when it's still August and start doing it up to September. So that in October, I don't have any problem.)
4. Start listing who will be your guest on your party and what time the party will start. The headline itself explains it all. Hahaha. I only invited my closest friends and my relatives since I don't like many people in my party. And of course decide what time your party will start.
5. Choose an emcee and start making the program. If you have an emcee, you should also have the program. What will be the flow for your party and more. My tip for that! Since it's kinda expensive to get an emcee for my birthday, I let my cousins do it instead. And if you don't have any idea for the flow for your party, try reading this. This might help you.(https://www.candymag.com/features/here-s-a-sample-debut-program-to-tell-you-what-should-happen-at-your-party)
So that's it! I hope you sweeties have an amazing birthday party and I hope my tips can help you to plan and decide for your coming 18th birthday. ❤
A reminder: If you really can't have a party like this, always remember that it doesn't have to be celebrated like this for you to debut. Think of all the beautiful things you've done for 17 years. Thank God for giving you another year of your life and as long as you're happy, that's all the matters. HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY.
Xoxo,
LJ.
